INTERGENERATIONAL INTEGRATION THROUGH THE CREATION OF THEATRE

The selected project initiative of the competition "What is good and could be better?" was also realized.

The inspiration for the initiative came from abroad, where they began the practice of introducing preschool programs into old people's homes, which again proved to be excellent practice.  In this way the elderly people reduced the sense of loneliness and children can enjoy listening to their stories and wisdom while at the same time they are learning about the involvement  and empathy  towards older people.

Sara believed in the power of the theatre as a space for connecting and personal growth and she came up with the idea of theatre workshops in which she brought together children and older people. At the same time, she was also aware that this is an excellent experience for people who run workshops because they require an innovative approach and a lot of sensibility.

The program was  implemented in cooperation with the Young Dragons and the Večgeneracijskim centrom Ljubljana, run by the Cene Štupar, financed by the Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities and the ESS.
