May the light bulb glow!

Youth workers' burnout under the spotlight.

Within each youth organization, its youth workers have specific tasks and roles. Usually these include taking care of the youngsters and being available to them most of the time. However, this often means that youth workers forget to take care of their own mental and physical health.

You know how electricity works. If set all the components right, this leads to the same result every time - when the loop of an electric circuit is closed, the light bulb glows, otherwise it doesn't. The same thing could be said about the human body which has to connect different elements in order to shine in all its brightness.

On 16 November 2018, take some time for yourself, for reflection on your lifestyle and that of youngsters, and for socializing with other youth workers.

The event has been planned especially for the youth workers active in Municipality of Ljubljana.

Program contributors will be dr. Tina Bončina, dr. Nada Rotovnik Kozjek and TiPovej!

Join us at the Art Center of Pionirski dom on Komenskega 9, Ljubljana.

Applications are open until 12 November 2018. There is a limited number of places available, so maximum 2 people per organization can attend. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

The event is supported by the Culture Department, Youth Office of Municipality of Ljubljana.
